Home Street Middle School, Multi-purpose Room March 15 - Revolution of Responsibility grants due April 14 - Livestock Field Day, Sunday, April 14, 1pm Bishop FFA Farm, Sunland Drive April 27 - South Sectional Presentation Day, open to all 4-H members who received a gold seal at County Presentation Day April 29 - Seniors: 4-H Scholarships are due to the 4-H Office on Monday, April 29 4-H Council Meeting— Tuesday, April 30, 2013, 6:30pm, 4-H Office. 4-H Council is the group that guides our 4-H youth program, planning events, awarding scholarships, and setting policy. We invite you all to attend a meeting, find out what Council is all about, and encourage you to get involved. You have the opportunity to make the best better! Junior Livestock Auction Committee—Tuesday, March 12, 2013, 5:30pm, Eastern Sierra Community Bank, Bishop. The Junior Livestock Auction Committee is the volunteer committee that partners with the Tri-County Fairgrounds to put on the Livestock Auction at the Junior Livestock Show and Sale. All 4-H Animal project leaders encouraged to participate. Any 4-H parent of a 4-H member taking a 4-H animal project is encouraged to participate as well. Come to the next meeting and see how you can contribute. Reminder! Tom, Sierra Crest, White Mountain 4-H Clubs: Tuesday, September 18, 2012 From 5pm to 7pm Home Economics Building, Fairgrounds (for the communities of Bishop and Big Pine). Lone Pine 4-H Club, Thursday, September 13, 2012 Owens Valley Elementary, Thursday, September 20, 2012, Lo-Inyo Elementary, (for the communities of Independence, Lone Pine & Olancha) 4-H Enrollment Fee Increase for 2012-2013 year: This year, the cost to enroll in 4-H will be $30 per youth. $28 will go to the State 4-H Youth Development Program and $2 will stay here with our local County Council. Our County Council and local clubs do not want this fee increase to be a barrier to participating in 4-H. Scholarships will be available. Look for the scholarship form and more information in your sign-up packet. And much more!

August 2012 RoadRunner | 2012 Eastern Sierra Tri-County Fair “Forever Red, White and Blue at The Tri-County Fair!” It is that time of year again — fair! We’d like to invite everyone to join us with your creativity, craftiness, and brilliance. See pages 2 - 9 for the many possible ways you can enter homemade and homegrown items in the fair. Let’s make this the best year ever for our 4-H department! Show your 4-H spirit by entering in the fair! Each 4-H member entering in the 4-H Department will receive a prize ticket. Prizes include: key chains, stuffed animals, bandanas, bags, and much more! Pick up your prize when you turn in your entries. Note: You did not have to make it in 4-H to enter it in the 4-H Department, but you must be a 2011-12 4-H member.
